Disabled children ‘in the picture’
This website was the centerpiece of Scope’s
new campaign to get more illustrations of disabled children
in picture books for young readers.
At present disabled children are almost ‘invisible’
and very rarely appear in children’s illustrations.
We discussed the campaign’s goals and created
a site map, followed by clear and motivating copy –
outlining the campaign and encouraging people to ‘sign
up’.
